Nalidixic acid is an antibacterial agent of the 4-quinolone class. It is given orally in doses of 2000-4000 mg/d to treat urinary tract infections.

The infant recovered following blood transfusion and termination of breast-feeding. No causal inference can be made on the basis of this single anecdotal report.
