3. Indications for Use.

4. Action
Performs as anti-inflammatory remedy, analgetic and antifever.

Painrelieving action performs just 15 minutes after intake of ibuprofen.
Antifever and painrelieving action reveals earlier and in lesser doses, whereas an anti-inflammatory performance comes on the 5-7 day of treatment.
5. Posology and Administration
Do not exceed a day’s dose 3200 mg (16 tablets) do not use more than 1000 mg a day without doctor’s prescription. Rinse the tablets with a glass of water (200 ml). You should better take them during meals.
Adults:
Recommended 24-hours dose for adults is 1200-3200 mg, divided into 3-4 intakes. Fever syndrome, pain syndrome – from 1 to 2 tablets in a single-shot or 3-4 intakes during 24 hours, if necessary. Do not take more than 1000 mg in 24 hours.
Children:
Juvenile arthritis 30 – 40 mg/kg of the body mass for 3 – 4 intakes in 24 hours.
Fever syndrome, pain syndrome - as an antifever – 5 mg/kg of the body mass, if the temperature does not exceed 39 degrees. In higher temperature – 10 mg/kg of the body mass. In use as a painrelief administration of doses depends on the pain severity. Maximal 24 hours dose is 40 mg/kg of the body mass.
Duration of treatment:
If within 5 days of the drug use pain syndrome persists or gets worse, or the same is the case with an elevated temperature you should stop the treatment and call the doctor.
6. Counterindications
• erosive-ulcer damages of bowels in the phase of attack;
• "aspirin triad";
• hemodyscrasia;
• ulcer colitis;
• visual nerve disease;
• frank distresses of the function of kidneys and/or liver;
• childhood up to 6 years;
• elevated sensitivity to the drug.
7. Should Be Taken with Precautions, if…
-coexistent diseases of liver and kidneys,
-chronic heart failure,
-dyspeptic symptoms before the start of the treatment,
-directly after surgery,
-if in anamneses there are bleeding of bowels, diseases of bowels and allergic reactions.
In the process of treatment a monitoring of the functions of liver and kidneys is necessary.
8. Interface with Other Medications
The drug may suppress or alter the action of other medications. Coexistence in the treatment of ibuprofen and some other drugs may enhance side effects of these drugs. 9. Overdosing
Pain in stomach, nausea, vomiting,
retardation, sleepiness, depression, headache, buzzing in ears,
coma, acute renal failure, decrease of arterial tension,
bradicardia, tachycardia, atrial fibrillation and respiratory standstill.
In the first hour after overdosing a stomach lavage is administered.
In any case if overdosing is suspected call a doctor immediately.
10. Side Effects
Often:
- nausea, anorexia, vomiting, discomfort in epigastrium, diarrhea;
- headache, dizziness, sleep disturbance, agitation, vision disturbance.
- skin rash, Quincke’s edema.
Seldom:
- bleedings from bowels;
- aseptic meningitis (more often in patients with autoimmune diseases), bronchospasm syndrome.
With long-term use it is possible:
- liver function disturbance;
- anemia, trombocytopenia, agranulocytosis;
- kidneys functions disturbance.
There are noticed cases of erosion-ulcer lesions of bowels.
11. Pregnancy and Lactation
In the period of pregnancy and lactation the drug should be taken only according to the doctor’s administration.
