- Posology and Administration
In arterial hypertension the starting dose will be 10 mg once daily, a supporting one should be 20-30 mg daily. In chronic heart failure the starting daily dose will be 5-10 mg, a supporting one will be 10-20 mg. The maximal dose should be 40 mg daily.
- Counterindications
Hypersensitivity to Fosinopril or other components of the drug, hereditary or angioneurotic edema in past, childhood, pregnancy, lactation period.

The drug should be taken with caution when there is kidney failure, when there is kidney excalation, the condition after kidney transplantation, age under 18 (may be used only in case of absolute necessity).
In the treatment of chronic heart disease supervision of patients is needed, especially during the first 2 weeks, likewise when a dose of Fosinopril is increased.
The fall of arterial tension is not a counterindication of the use of Fosinopril.

Side Effects
In most cases Fosinopril is tolerated well. In specific cases dizziness, cough; disorders of intestinal tract, nausea, vomiting; symptoms on the part of upper air passages (bronchial spasm, pharyngitis, laryngitis, sinusitis); heartbeat; pains in chest; muscular-skeletal pains; sense shock; feeling of tiredness; flavor reversion; significant drop of arterial tension; allergic reactions (skin rash, angioneurotic edema) are possible.

Fosinopril is counterindicated during pregnancy. During Fosinopril therapy a possibility of unplanned pregnancy should be excluded. During the treatment breastfeeding should be stopped.
